Alessandro Tartaglia Polcini Producer, Creator, and Film Educator Alessandro Tartaglia Polcini is for OWN AIR Production Ltd a producer and creator of films, documentaries, and narrative projects ranging from serialized storytelling to new hybrid forms. His work bridges auteur tradition and contemporary languages, with a strong focus on symbolic and identity-driven narratives. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of independent works, educational formats, and innovative series, earning numerous accolades, including the Golden Globe, the Nastro d’Argento, and awards at major events such as the Venice Film Festival, the Rome Film Festival, and the Giffoni Film Festival, among others. Alongside his production work, he is also an expert educator in the field of cinema. Appointed by the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIC), he teaches as an adjunct professor at various Italian universities, where he promotes critical reflection on the audiovisual medium and the role of imagination in today’s complex world. He serves on the Board of APIC – the Association of Independent Short Film Producers. Alessandro holds degrees in Sociology and in Science of Arts, Music, and Entertainment Studies, with a specialization in Cinema, Television, and Multimedia Production. He has also earned two master’s degrees: one in Film and TV Production Management, and another in Publishing Legislation and Regulations. He approaches juries and creative processes with the belief that every artistic work is, before anything else, not an answer—but an urgent question.
